Was looking for a recipe for drumsticks for dinner. Found this recipe that has the word ‘tandoori’ on it but unfortunately I didn’t taste the ‘tandoori’ flavor in the final product but nevertheless, it was has great flavors! You can’t go wrong when you have spices like ground cumin, turmeric powder, garam masala, ground coriander, paprika, garlic and ginger in the rub. Tandoori chicken looks more reddish for those that I have tasted back In Malaysia. And I don’t think drumsticks are normally used, I may be wrong. Talking about drumsticks, they cost much cheaper here in the States compared to chicken breasts, which is a good news to me since I prefer thighs and drumsticks for their tenderness and juiciness. And since it’s an Indian-inspired dinner, I made a stir-fried cabbage with carrots, mustard seeds, turmeric and cumin. It’s my first time using mustard seed! I have always wondered what are those seeds used by the mamak restaurants in their cabbage dish, mystery solved!
